Our client are seeking a Commercial Legal Counsel - EMEA to join their global Legal and Compliance team, supporting the business focused on accelerating scientific research, enabling quality diagnostics, and providing essential medical solutions. The Commercial Legal Counsel will report to the Senior Counsel – EMEA. What You’ll Do Collaborate with business leaders and teams in EMEA to identify opportunities that drive growth, such as negotiating and finalising key commercial, procurement, and R&D agreements while applying sound legal and business judgment. Deliver Legal & Compliance training to EMEA teams to help them recognise and manage risks that may arise in business operations. Engage in diverse, cross-functional teams to tackle challenges, solve problems, and develop efficient processes to maximise impact on critical priorities. Provide guidance on compliance, privacy, antitrust, and advertising/promotional matters, identify intellectual property issues, collaborate with internal IP counsel, and manage external counsel to ensure the organisation is well-protected. Support adherence to internal controls in contract-related processes and assist in managing disputes and litigation. Who You Are An approx. 5PQE lawyer qualified to practice in England & Wales, holding a current practicing certificate, with strong academic credentials and relevant post-qualification experience. Extensive commercial legal experience gained at a leading law firm and/or in-house legal department, including drafting, negotiating, and closing commercial and supplier agreements (preferably in a regulated environment), such as sales, distribution, supply, and professional services agreements. Experience in the life sciences or healthcare sectors is a plus. A collaborative team player with excellent project prioritisation skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Exceptional written and verbal communication and analytical skills, with a proven ability to identify and resolve legal issues efficiently and make well-reasoned risk assessments. Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional stakeholders to drive business-oriented solutions and a track record of contributing to operational excellence through change initiatives.
