The role
A well-established secondary school in Northumberland is seeking a Cover Supervisor to deliver pre-set lessons across KS3–KS5. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff looking to gain further classroom experience in a structured and supportive environment.
You will be responsible for supervising whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring pupils remain on task and that the school’s behaviour policies are upheld consistently.

£110 – £140 per day | PAYE | Depending on experience

Key responsibilities
6. Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects
7. Manage classroom behaviour effectively
8. Ensure pupils complete work to a high standard
9. Provide feedback to teaching staff
10. Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times
The ideal candidate
11. Experience working with young people (education, coaching, youth work, tutoring, etc.)
12. Confident leading a classroom independently
13. Strong communication and behaviour management skills
14. Organised, reliable and professional
15. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
