JOB TITLE: FINANCE ASSISTANT
LOCATION: GLASGOW, SCOTLAND
Reporting to our Management Accountant, you'll be providing administrative support to our transactional finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience and kickstart their finance career within a global beauty business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Daily monitoring of the supplier and customer mailboxes
* Process high volume of customer deductions, remittances, cash allocations, and queries on a timely basis
* Reviewing pricing and approving sales orders in Business Central. Liaise with the sales and warehouse teams to quickly resolve queries and ensure customer deductions are approved/disputed as required.
* Assisting with credit control – Producing and distributing customer statements and following up with customers to quickly resolve queries
* Processing direct sales receipts from Shopify into Business Central
* Process high volume of supplier invoices and credit card/expense receipts
* Perform supplier statements reconciliations and following up queries with suppliers.
* Reviewing open supplier POs and following up with other departments as required
* Ad hoc tasks as required to assist the Management Accountant
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
* An ambitious, self-starter
* Degree educated (finance or related) or holding relevant qualifications, e.g. AAT or equivalent experience – preferred.
* Experience processing high volumes of transactional activity quickly and accurately.
* Competency with Excel e.g., experience with SUM and Look up formulae.
* Pro-active with strong organisational skills and an accurate eye for detail.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across the business and with customers.
