Your new company You will be supporting a 56-bed, three-floor homeless hostel in Plymouth. This service plays a vital role in safeguarding some of the most vulnerable adults in our society. The individuals you will support may be experiencing mental health challenges, substance misuse, homelessness, or may be survivors of domestic abuse and other complex circumstances. Your new role Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday: 21:45 - 07:45 Friday: 21:45 - 08:00 Saturday & Sunday: 19:45 - 08:00 4 nights on, 4 nights off Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents through regular, timed welfare checks De-escalating challenging behaviours and situations Administering emergency medication when required Maintaining clear and accurate records and handovers Following all policies and procedures, with full training provided by the site manager Delivering first aid if needed Carrying out light domestic tasks in communal areas What you'll need to succeed A reliable and responsible approach to night work Compassion and understanding of the individuals you'll be supporting The ability to think on your feet and remain calm under pressure A positive, can-do attitude Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential - transferable experience will be considered.
