Contract: 12 Month FTC/Secondment Closing Date: 3rd July 2025 Location: Nottingham Support Office Recruitment Partner : samantha.bramhall@boots.co.uk About the role Welcome to the Boots Store Maintenance team we are crucial in keeping the Boots estate trading, safe, secure and compliant. Putting our customer needs and college welfare at the heart of what we do. We drive innovative reactive solutions to maintenance, with strategic infrastructure investment. The Commercial Manager Role is an exciting role designed to interface with key stakeholders within the wider Storecare Team; setting, revising and controlling the commercial strategy for the full financial year. Key responsibilities Spend analysis and forecasting by service line, region, season and asset. Providing insights with a strategic view, controlling and optimising the budget spend Directing key decision making regarding budget limits Identify and mitigate commercial risks across the maintenance delivery lifecycle. Contractor engagement and oversight of WIP, cashflow, profitability and debt Administration of key contract schedule and Service Credits- Ensure commercial contract compliance and performance monitoring, including KPIs and SLAs. Engagement with external QS to drive best value from quotes Preparation of reports outlining budget overview, insights and drivers Development of commercial opportunities with supply chain Commercial review and input on high value quotes Provide strategic commercial input into procurement and supplier management. Collaborate with operational, finance, and procurement teams to drive performance. Preparation and oversight of Payment files What you'll need to have Professional qualification in Business Management, Accounting or Finance- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience). Working knowledge of Service Contracts (FMC)-Strong understanding of delivery frameworks, supplier management, and contract law. Proven experience in commercial or contract management Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Power Point and basic office packages- Proficient in using financial and contract management software and tools. Confident in leading articulate discussions and presentations with internal clients and external supplier base. Strong financial acumen with excellent budgeting and cost control abilities. Excellent stakeholder management skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to balance operational needs with commercial objectives. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical thinking. It would be great if you also have Experience in commercial or contract management, ideally in maintenance, Facilities Management, or construction.
