Our client is looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to play a key role in the continued growth of the structures team in their Reading office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys technical responsibility, client interaction and mentoring others, while working across a genuinely varied portfolio of projects.
Responsibilities
* The role offers exposure to a broad mix of sectors within property and construction, with the chance to lead projects from early concept through to detailed design and delivery.
* Acting in a client-facing capacity, you will take ownership of structural design solutions, manage project programmes and budgets, and ensure high technical and quality standards are maintained throughout.
* You will also support the wider team by reviewing designs, overseeing drawing production and providing guidance to junior engineers and technicians.

Qualifications
* Chartered or near-chartered structural engineer with a strong background in the design of buildings using concrete, steel, timber and masonry.
* Comfortable working with modern analysis and design software, ideally within a BIM-led environment.
* Confident carrying out structural assessments, surveys and site inspections.
* Sound commercial awareness and experience of running projects independently.
* Ability to communicate clearly with both clients and project teams.
