As a result of this business win, we have a brand new opportunity for a Streetworks & Engagement Manager, to lead and manage all aspects of streetworks coordination and stakeholder engagement.
You'll be ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, minimising disruption to the public, and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities, customers, and internal teams.
Here are some of the activities you will be involved in...
* Ensure full compliance with NRSWA regulations and local authority permits for all streetworks activities.
* Manage and coordinate noticing, permits, and FPN mitigation
* As the frameowork grows, build and lead a team of Streetworks Coordinators and Liaison Officers.
* Liaise with local councils, residents, and businesses to minimise disruption and maintain positive engagement.
* Act as the primary escalation point for streetworks-related issues.
* Work closely with operational teams to schedule works and avoid permit conflicts.
* Analyse performance data, track KPIs, and produce monthly compliance and engagement reports.
* Implement improvement plans to reduce fines, improve reinstatement quality, and enhance customer satisfaction.
* Support Thames Water in maintaining its C-MeX (Customer Measure of Experience) scores.
* Ensure company values and safety culture are embedded across all streetworks and engagement activities.
We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate…
Relevant experience in a similar role and a comprehensive understanding of the New Roads and Streetworks Act (NRSWA) and the Traffic Management Act (TMA) are essential, along with previous experience in establishing compliant processes that drive efficiencies.
The ability to interpret and apply legislation and technical standards.
A customer-focused mindset and highly developed communication and relationship building skills.
This is a leadership role and as such previous managerial experience is also essential.
