Tasks
YOURRESPONSIBILITIES
Themain purpose of the role is to lead sustainablefinancial growth by taking ownership of the financial strategycontrols and management information for the Business Unit. Thisincludes providing insight and influence to impact performance andmaintain competitive advantage alongside financial and contractsupport leadership and direction in the Business Unit. This willinvolve personal attitude use of skills and dissemination ofknowledge. Use specialist knowledge and experience to provideinsight and influence in order to impact performance standards.Implement improvements drive change raise standards through thedirect and indirect management of the team. Act as a businesspartner to the Business Unit Director to both advise and challengesenior management on contract performance.
Further Essential Duties andResponsibilities:
FinancialReporting
* Monthlyformal Contract and Business unit reviews. Ensure use of bestpractice communication and understanding of key business messagesthrough monthly site visits with focus on underperformingcontracts
* Prepare accurate Business Unitreports in line with monthly company timetable including fullProfit & Loss account with analysis and commentary BalanceSheet extracts and reconciliations detailed Project Profitabilityreporting Profit & Loss forecasts and annualplans
* Adhoc reporting as requested by BusinessUnit or Business/Finance
* Provide best in classManagement Information to both Client and GWS management to includeActuals v Budget
* Provide adhoc support andfinancial analysis asrequired
Contractand FinanceManagement
* Continuallyreview maintain and improve cashflow margins and reporting. Developtargets and benchmarking processes to challenge the financialinformation
* Drive high quality financial /commercial performance through understanding the contractualcommitments on service lines in EMEA and ensure is aligned andconsistent with global contract managementpractices
* Identify and help driveimplementation of savings opportunities to ensure Client and GWSfinancial savings targets are maximized
* ReviewClient P&L results andchallenge
* Active management of overheads forbusiness whilst seeking out areas for efficiencies forsavings
* Build and develop high levelrelationships with business and account leaders customers andexternal agencies (e.g. auditors)
* Constantlyimprove quality service andefficiency
* Communicate regularly with contractfinancial and contract support staff to ensure they are fullyinformed of operational objectives andachievements
* Identify analyse and resolvepotential business risks as well as opportunities and solutions toenhance businessperformance
FinanceProcesses Procedures andReporting
* Ensurecompany policies and procedures are adhered to consistentlythroughout the Business Unit / Contract
* Ensurefull substantiation of all accruals in line with GWSpolicy
* Manage the integrity of data in Clientreporting and GWS systems
* Develop anunderstanding of how to best utilize GWS systemgenerated reportingcapabilities
* Continually develop systems tomaximize efficiency benefits for client &GWS
* Ensure the accuracy and integrity ofaccounting records and financial systems identify opportunities toenhance system efficiencies
* Have thoroughknowledge of procedures and processes and lead the delivery ofthese to the required standard
* Managecompliance through the required procedures andprocesses
FinancePlanning
* Assistingin the preparation of annual bottom up Plan for and monitoring theforecast through the year
* Ensure balance sheetand cash flow Plans areprepared
FinancialGovernance
* EnsureCBRE and statutory obligations are met for reporting and governancepurposes
* Responsibility for ensuring theintegrity of the Balance Sheet and Balance SheetCommentary
* Ensure monthly balance sheetreconciliations are carried out andreviewed
* Driving and agreeing any financialpolicy requirements with the Regional FinancialDirector
Customer
* Developinghigh quality and effective Client relationships especially acrossthe account
* Build good working relationshipwith account management and key clients members and be a businesspartner for both
* Liaising with the CBRE EMEAFinance or GWS EMEA FP&A team to fulfill any ad hocinformation requests
* Tightly manage contractgovernance demonstrating an indepth knowledge of the terms andconditions of the contract to ensure that all cost elements areappropriately accounted for
* Assist with clientteam requests in a timely and accuratemanner
* Support any GWS transformation andclient initiatives working closely with other functions to ensurefull alignment of deliverables andresults
* Positively respond to both our internaland external customers (often in a matrix environment) througheffective communication and personalaccessibility/credibility
PeopleManagement
* Recruitinduct manage target motive and develop the Contract Supportteam
* Carry out structured appraisals and ensurepersonal development plans are in place and include successionplans
* Build lead and motivate a diverse andeffective team. Empower team members to take responsibility andaccountability
* Supervise and review performanceof individuals in the team

Requirements
YOURPROFILE
Educationbackground and workingexperience
* Holda Chartered Accountant qualification (or equivalent) isessential
* Higher educational qualifications toA level or degree (or equivalent)desirable
Skills
* Highlycomputer literate
* Ability to combine strategicvision with handson pragmatic delivery
* ITSkills to achieve key tasks and give the business a sound reportingbase
* Superior written and verbal communicationskills with strong oral presentationskills
* Capable of working in a matrixenvironment
Knowledge
* Understandsthe requirements of operating in a cross border multiservice lineenvironment
Experience
* Workedin a complex multinational with hands on experience of managingteams in continental Europe
* Track record ofachieving results through others
