Pink Tile Education is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Unqualified Science Teacher to work with a supportive secondary school in Hastings. This role is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong interest in science and education who may not yet hold formal teaching qualifications, but are ready to step into the classroom and inspire students.
The role:
The successful candidate will take on classroom teaching responsibilities within the Science department, with support and guidance from senior teachers and Pink Tile Education. This is a fantastic chance to build practical experience in teaching while making a real difference in the lives of young learners.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering pre-prepared Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (ages 11–16)
* Teaching across Biology, Chemistry and Physics (with full departmental support)
* Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
* Supporting pupils with different learning needs and abilities
* Encouraging engagement, participation, and progress in Science
* Marking and assessing students' work in line with school policies
* Working closely with the Science department to follow schemes of work
* Maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment in line with safeguarding standards
Requirements:
* A genuine passion for Science and education
* Strong communication and classroom management skills
* The ability to motivate and inspire secondary-age students
* A DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
* Up-to-date safeguarding training, or willingness to complete training provided by Pink Tile Education
