Band 8b Senior Programme Manager - ICCR

If successful, the interview process will consist of two stages:Stage 1: Stakeholder Panel Interview - In Person

Duration: 30 minuteso This initial interview will be conducted by a stakeholder panel. You will be sent details prior to the interview of the activity required for the stakeholder panel.

If successful at the stakeholder panel interview you will be invited to

Stage 2: Final Interview - In Person o Duration: 1 houro As part of the final interview, candidates will be asked to deliver a 5-minute presentation - details of the presentation will be shared beforehand.

We invite candidates that are able to partake in both elements in person. In preparation for both panels we encourage candidates to undertake their own research from information that's already in the public domain or supplied as part of the process.

The post holder will play a pivotal role within the ICCR Directorate Leadership Team, driving forward a portfolio of high-impact service improvement initiatives aligned with learning from the BSol Community Mental Health Transformation Programme and local strategic priorities.


Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide senior programme management leadership to the ICCR Directorate, supporting the transition to business-as-usual operations while driving the strategic direction of adult community and rehabilitation mental health services. They will lead the implementation of complex, high-impact projects aligned with national and local priorities, working closely with clinical leads, managers, service users, and regional and national partners. With a strong emphasis on embedding effective project management practices, the role will promote a culture of continuous improvement, ensure robust governance, and support strategic decision-making. Acting as a key point of contact, the post holder will influence stakeholders, oversee integration planning across diverse services, and contribute to high-level strategic discussions to deliver meaningful service transformation.

Job responsibilities

This role gives the opportunity for hybrid working and you will typically be asked to work in a hybrid way, working from your home and also from Trust HQ The Uffculme Centre, or any other agreed site, please note this is not an exclusively remote working role, you will be required to be on site at least two days a week.


Person Specification


Experience

* oEducated to Masters' degree level or equivalent experience
* oExperience of preparing detailed project plans, reports etc
* oFormal management or project management qualification Prince 2 and/or MSP which has been tested in a recent management /project management role bringing knowledge and skills
* oExperience in managing budgets
* oAble to build and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* oPrevious NHS experience working as a senior project manager or in a senior role managing change.
