Job responsibilities
What your typical day looks like:
* Provideautonomous, advanced clinical care
* Assess, diagnose, treat, and refer patients effectively
* Conduct and interpret relevant diagnostic investigations
* Initiate specialist referrals where appropriate
* Maintainhigh-quality clinical records
* Participate inpolicy development and clinical audits
To be a successful Advanced Practitioner youll need:
* Professional Registration NMC, HCPC, or GPhC
* Independent Prescriber Registered as a non-medical prescriber
* Education Minimum of two Level 7 modules, including clinical assessment skills
* Experience Autonomous practice in multi-professional teams
* Proven abilityto assess and manage complex conditions in adults and children

* A selection of specific sites may require skills in the following areas-
* -ALS / PALS
* -Cannulation and Venepuncture
* -ECG recording and interpretation
* -Plastering
* -Suturing and wound closure
* -IRMER & X-Ray interpretation.
* -Pathology interpretation
* -Telephone triage
Experience
* Substantial Autonomous practice working and multi-professional team
* Can show evidence of using autonomous physical examination and assessment skills in practice
* Can demonstrate a broad and sound knowledge of complex and common conditions in primary care in both adults and children
* Has experience in one of the following: general practice, emergency care centres ,out of hours facilities or walk in centres
* Consolidated Independent Prescribing experience.
Qualifications
* Registered Adult Nurse registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), Paramedic registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Registered as an independent non medical prescriber.
* A minimum of 2 modules at Level 7. Modules must include assessment of clinical examination skills and non-medical prescribing.
