Description Wood is recruiting for a offshore Facilities Maintenance Technician for Centrica on a core basis. This role is on a 2*2 rotation mobilising from Hull. This position forms part of the Offshore Maintenance Team and is responsible for executing planned and emergent work associated with facilities maintenance safely and efficiently. The role supports the maintenance of infrastructure, including scheduled tasks and breakdown repairs, while adhering to Centrica’s processes and safety culture. Responsibilities Accountabilities • Execute planned and emergent maintenance tasks safely and efficiently. • Adhere to Centrica standards, processes, and control of work procedures. • Align with and contribute to Centrica’s safety culture and observation system. • Promote Centrica’s values to third parties and colleagues. • Estimate and plan work activities in SAP in compliance with the Work Execution Gated Process. • Record actual hours and provide robust completion data in SAP. • Support continuous improvement through feedback forms this includes generating / improving task method statements and validating planned hours. • Perform day-to-day activities, including: o Shower head cleaning o Drain dosing o Door maintenance (internal/external) o Water dispenser filter changes o Plumbing repairs and emergent defects o Fabrication (e.g., brackets) o Assist vendors with accommodation repairs/upgrades o Fitting new showers and doors o Carpet and floor tile fitting o Handrail replacement o Grating replacement Qualifications Competencies BOSIET, MIST and Offshore Medical Technical knowledge and experience in maintenance procedures and methods associated with Facilities Maintenance. Extensive knowledge of CMMS and SSoW with regards to planning, risk assessment, and enactment of work scopes. Ability to work safely and efficiently under varying conditions. Ability to complete concise but accurate reporting and communication both written and verbally to colleagues in a responsive and effective way. Attention to detail and organised approach to work. Ability to reach a conclusion using relevant information and data and to determine the best course of action in a timeframe consistent with business requirements. Ability to access and utilise materials and supply spare parts management systems. High levels of self-drive and motivation. Flexibility to meet operational demands and timelines. Team-oriented approach with a focus on collaboration. Education (Desirable) ONC or equivalent Work Experience Proficient knowledge of SAP CMMS in relation to Maintenance. Proficient with the MS office suite of applications. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload in the face of competing demands. Offshore / Onshore experience in facilities / general discipline maintenance
