Job Information

* Job Title: Lead Clinician
* Location: Brick Lane School, London E2 6DY
* Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE plus £3,000 Welcome Bonus (£1,500 after 1 month, £1,500 after probation. T&C's Apply)
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8:30am–4:30pm
* Contract: Permanent – 52 weeks

The Role

We are looking for a Lead Clinician (OT / SaLT) to manage our in‑house Clinical Team at Brick Lane School. The postholder will work collaboratively with both the School’s Senior Leadership Team and the Regional Clinical Lead. The role will involve clinically leading the team and holding a therapy caseload. Working collaboratively, the postholder will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our students who may present with complex profiles of need as a result of autism, other types of neuro‑divergence, developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Meeting the needs of EHCP plans will be a primary focus in this role, target‑led, via the OFG all, group and individual clinical ways of working, embedded into our clinical practice.

They will also coordinate line management of onsite clinical team members and lead on the service development of the clinical school‑based service, alongside the SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.

Responsibilities

* Clinically lead the in‑house Clinical Team
* Manage therapy caseload and deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans
* Ensure compliance with EHCP plans and target‑led OFG all, group, and individual clinical ways of working
* Coordinate line management of clinical team members
* Lead service development of the clinical school‑based service with SLT and Regional Clinical Lead
* Maintain safeguarding culture and involve pupils in decisions
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners


Essential Criteria

* BSc or MSc in Speech & Language / Occupational Therapy with registration as a SaLT / OT with HCPC and RCSLT
* Valid and up‑to‑date professional registration & membership of professional body (e.g., BPS)
* Experience within the specialist client group; working with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs
* Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities
* Experience of providing supervision and supporting a therapy team
* Ability to work independently
* Ability to work dynamically and within a growing and developing clinical service
* Experience of multi‑professional work with teams or services within the designated specialty (preferred)
