Due to an internal promotion and significant business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Finance team as an Accounts Supervisor. Based in our Dunfermline Head Office, this role is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5pm.
Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be part of our wider finance team, responsible for overseeing both purchase and sales ledger processes, managing supplier relationships, resolving queries, and ensuring daily tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. As Accounts Supervisor, you should be a confident communicator with excellent attention to detail, and eager to progress within a fast-paced, dynamic office environment. Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, are essential.
Core responsibilities include:
Supervising daily operations of the sales ledger, purchase ledger, and cash & bank functions, including monitoring team performance.
Managing supplier relationships, onboarding, and system updates.
Handling urgent supplier and internal account queries.
Performing month-end reconciliations for purchase and sales ledgers.
Providing cover for both purchase and sales ledger duties during absences.
Driving process improvements and ensure accuracy in reporting.
Profile:
Proven managerial or supervisory experience
Qualification in Business or Administration coupled with experience in purchase and/or sales ledger
Excellent communication and I.T skills
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach teams
A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving
The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
