The role

DCC is at the heart of the UK’s smart energy revolution – and we’re growing. We’re currently seeking experienced Project Managers to join our evolving Service Delivery function, which plays a vital role in delivering complex programmes and ensuring a smooth transition into live operations.
In this role, you’ll lead multi-disciplinary teams across high-value (£30m+), multi-year initiatives, while managing key internal and external relationships – including suppliers, government, and regulators. You’ll help us shape and deliver transformation through our new Design, Build, Run (DBR) model and drive sustainable delivery excellence.
What will you be doing?
· End-to-end project delivery within large programmes and/or standalone initiatives
· Matrix management of delivery teams and supplier relationships
· Development of robust project plans and governance documentation
· Financial and commercial management, including supplier performance and budgeting
· Transition planning from development to live operations
· Effective risk, issue, and change management
· Stakeholder engagement with executive and regulatory audiences
· Deputising for Programme Managers as needed
· Coaching and mentoring across the Service Delivery team
What are we looking for?
Essential Experience & Skills
· 5+ years’ project management experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments (public sector, regulatory or government preferred)
· Proven track record in delivering technical programmes and supplier-led change
· Strong leadership in matrix environments and third-party management
· Ability to manage underperformance and drive high standards
· PRINCE2 certified with advanced MS Project skills
· Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
· Knowledge of smart metering, telecoms, or the UK energy sector
· Experience with network-based projects and customer operations platforms

Step 1
Find and apply for a role
All vacancies are posted on our careers site on a page like this one, where you can apply online. You'll be asked to submit a short application form so we can find out more about you. Due to the high volume of applications, you'll only hear back from us if you've been successful.

Chat with a recruiter
Once you pass the initial screening stage, one of our recruiters will be in touch to chat through the role and your experience. If all goes well, your application will be passed on to the hiring manager, who'll put together a shortlist for interview.

Come for an interview
For most roles there'll be a two-stage interview process, which will include questions about your CV, competency and technical skills. For more senior positions there could be an additional interview stage.
