Supported Housing Service ManagerDurhamTemporary with the potential for extensionMonday - Friday - 37.5 hours per week with some flexibility on hours required £17.00 - £20.00 per hour Morgan Hunt are working with a homelessness charity who are looking to recruit a Supported Housing Service Manager for their service that supports young people who are experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness. Young people may present with complex needs and the services aims to support individuals to successfully move towards independent living.This is a 37.5-hour per week role, Monday to Friday with some flexibility in terms of hours required. Temporary cover is required for a minimum of 3 months, with the potential for extension.As a Supported Housing Service Manager, you will be responsible for.
* Day to day management of supported housing services for young people aged 18 - 25, to ensure positive outcomes and successful move on is achieved.
* Ensuring the deliver of a high quality supported housing service whilst continuously looking to improve performance in line with contractual obligations.
* Ensuring that sufficient staffing levels are in place to deliver an effective service.
* Partnership working with external organisations and professionals to ensure consistent service delivery.
* Representing the organisation at meetings and local events and building relationships to ensure a consistent flow of referrals for the service.
The candidate
* Experience working with young people or those with complex needs i.e homelessness, mental health, substance misuse or offending behaviour.
* Experience of effectively coaching, mentoring and managing staff teams.
* Knowledge of supported accommodation and other services available to those experiencing homelessness.
* Experience of health and safety and housing management responsibilities.
* The ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and professional boundaries.
* Understanding and ability to implement risk management, information sharing and data security arrangements.
