Job Title: Registered Manager / Senior Registered Manager (Children’s Service)
Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire
Hours: Average 40 hours per week
Contract: Full Time Permanent
We are currently recruiting for a Registered Manager to lead our 3 bedded Children’s Home located near Grantham.
We are committed to delivering therapeutic care to children and young people, providing a best emotional and physical environment. Children and young people residing at the home may have experienced significant trauma and may have specific learning, physical and/or emotional needs. We are looking for someone who has a passion delivering therapeutic care and has previous experience in a similar environment.
Job Role
* Full responsibility for the day to day running and oversight of the home.
* Full responsibility for the children and their welfare day to day, ensuring therapeutic methods are implemented.
* Active role in the recruitment of staff team.
* Full support to staff team to ensure competence in delivering high standard of care.
* Deliver consistent high quality care and meet all Ofsted requirements.
* Develop and encourage a fun and nurturing environment for the children and a progressive and coherent environment for staff.
* Oversee all safeguarding within the home and act as the home’s safeguarding lead.
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience in a managerial role within a children's residential home.
* Experience in developing care plans for children with complex needs.
* Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with families and staff.
* NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Services at minimum.
* Experience in implementing therapeutic care.
* Experience of safeguarding and liaising with multi‑agency teams.
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory position within residential children’s care.
Desirable
* NVQ or QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services.
* Experience implementing therapeutic models of care.
An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is necessary. All offers of employment are subject to pre‑employment checks including satisfactory references, medical checks and proof of right to work in the UK.
