Position Overview: Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking a Systems Design Engineer to join the Advanced Test Organization in Berkeley, MO. This team modifies, certifies, and operates experimental aircraft as flying laboratories to gather engineering research data for Boeing's program customers. The engineer will conceptualize, build, and test integrated hardware and software systems.
We are hiring for various experience levels, including Associate, Experienced, and Lead Systems Design Engineers.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
* Translate requirements into system, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications.
* Test and validate to ensure designs meet operational and functional requirements.
* Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance.
* Address hardware/software issues and support fielded systems throughout their lifecycle.
* Research technological advances for potential application to Boeing’s needs.
Work Location: This position is expected to be 100% onsite at one of the specified locations.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution.
* At least 1 year of experience in systems, hardware, or software development.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Level 3: 3+ years’ related experience or equivalent education and experience.
* Level 4: 5+ years’ related experience or equivalent education and experience.
* Experience in avionics and mission systems integration.
* Knowledge of digital signal processing.
* Proficiency in C++, Visual Studio, Linux OS, autopilot integration, and military communication protocols.
