Ivy Resource Group are working with a leading civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Project Manager for a flagship infrastructure scheme based in Bridgwater. You will be delivering works on a landmark flood defence project designed to protect thousands of homes and businesses from tidal flooding, with completion scheduled for 2027.

Our client is a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong track record of delivering complex infrastructure and environmental projects across the UK. They operate across sectors including marine, flood defence, and heavy civil engineering, with a focus on safety, innovation, and sustainable delivery.
The Role:
Full project management responsibility from inception through to completion on a major flood defence scheme
Planning, programming, and coordination of all on-site construction activities
Managing subcontractors, site teams, and suppliers to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
Monitoring project performance including cost, progress, and quality
Acting as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and senior management
The Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
Strong working knowledge of NEC4 contracts, including change and commercial management
Hands-on experience with formwork and temporary works coordination
Demonstrated leadership and site management capability
Ability to manage programmes, mitigate delays, and adapt to project changes
Experience within tidal, marine, or flood defence projects is highly desirable
Salary & Package:
Competitive salary / day rate - £400-£425 per day
