The Nuffield Health North Staffordshire Hospital was opened in 1978 with funds raised by the local community. The hospital is now a modern, purpose -built and well -equipped private health care facility with 36 en suite bedrooms.
There are two operating theaters and one minor/endoscopy suite, a busy outpatient department and physiotherapy, pathology and diagnostic imaging. It has an excellent reputation for clinical care, expertise and efficient friendly staff.
This role is within a busy Supplies Department which handles purchasing all clinical items to provide the Hospital with all relevant medical provisions.
The ideal candidate should be able to communicate effectively, work well under pressure, IT skills and customer service focus are critical to this role.
Support and comply with the key principles of procurement to result in reduced costs while sustaining efficiency and effective service throughout the Hospital Key responsibilities are as follows:
* Stock control
* Monitor stock accuracy
* Work with other departments
* Review slow moving obsolete stock
* Carry out stock takes
The apprentice will be trained in the above outlined roles. A mentor will be provided. This is a small department so training will be given by all team members to support. The final qualification is Supply Chain Operator Apprenticeship Standard - Level 2.
Requirements No special requirements however preference that the candidate can drive and flexible working hours.
