About the role
As a Theatre Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a specialised team to ensure the delivery of patient care, organise equipment and resources, and to obtain optimum
efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
You will:
1. Ensure a service that is consultant and patient focused, responsive, and renowned for quality.
2. Work closely with the Theatre Services Manager assisting with rosters and other staff management tasks
3. Actively support the Theatre Services Manager (TSM) to achieve the strategic goals of the company.
4. Make a significant contribution to the day to day management of designated specialty theatre and promote teamwork and collaboration.
This is a permanent role for 64 hours per fortnight and is located at Royston Hospital, Hastings.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, a can do, will do attitude and a demonstrated commitment to the provision of quality services.
You will also demonstrate and have the following qualities/skills:
5. Demonstrated leadership experience
6. Current New Zealand Nursing Council annual practicing certificate
7. Excellent knowledge and skills in orthopaedic surgical nursing
8. Effective, clear communication skills
9. Excellent risk management skills
