Project Manager – Electrical Projects Manchester, UK Fulltime/Permanent Salary: DOE Role Purpose: To control the overall operational delivery of projects, including health and safety, technical, commercial and managerial requirements, from bid stage and pre-commencement through to practical completion. The successful candidate will ensure profitability is maintained or improved through effective leadership, while delivering a high level of customer service and working closely with key support functions assigned to the project (including planning, commercial, technical and safety teams). Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Demonstrate strong Health & Safety leadership, ensuring a safety-first culture is clearly visible across all project activities. Ensure adherence to all company policies, processes and procedures. Ensure all works comply with the organisation’s IT services and infrastructure standards, while meeting and exceeding client expectations and relevant international standards and manufacturer installation guidelines. Provide leadership to the project delivery team, maximising the potential of both the team and the individuals within it. Participate in bid activities when requested by senior management, working closely with the Business Development function and following established bid and opportunity management processes. Contribute to the preparation of business plans and budgets, based on contract parameters and project objectives. Identify and implement opportunities to maximise project profitability. Continuously monitor contract profitability using appropriate commercial and financial management practices. Provide accurate input to monthly project reviews, ensuring senior management have full visibility of project progress and financial performance. Manage all activities required for the successful delivery of projects in line with agreed quality, commercial and programme targets, ensuring completion within timescale and cost constraints. Maintain positive customer relationships through the efficient delivery of projects, supporting future opportunities and long-term business growth. Skills and Qualifications: Time-served apprentice or relevant Electrical qualifications CSCS Black Card SMSTS Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager Demonstrable experience delivering projects exceeding £2m Strong ability to plan, coordinate and prioritise workloads Good knowledge and understanding of a range of electrical systems and installation methods Highly organised with the ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong people management and leadership skills
