Specialist Teaching & Learning Assistant | Burton Upon Trent (DE3) | £100-£115 per day | Full Time | Start Date: ASAP
The role is in a nurturing Alternative Provision in South Derbyshire, supporting students who have been, or are at risk of being, excluded from mainstream education. As part of the Multi Academy Trust, this is a specialist setting for young people aged 11-16 with autism, SEMH, and other complex needs. Our shared mission is to help vulnerable children re-engage with learning and achieve their full potential, academically, socially, and emotionally within a supportive and inclusive environment.

Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support for pupils with behavioural needs
Help create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
Support pupils' academic progress as well as their emotional wellbeing and personal development.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to deliver personalised learning plans.
Contribute to behaviour management and therapeutic support strategies.About You
Your DBS must be on the update system
L3 qualification as a minimum.
If success you must be ready to start work straight ASAP.
Experience in SEN settings, alternative provision, PRUs, or youth support roles
Strong behaviour management skills and emotional resilience
A calm, compassionate, and adaptable approach
