Overview
Liaison and Diversion Peer Support Worker. We have an opportunity for a peer support worker with lived experience of the criminal justice system to join the Liaison and Diversion Service in Cambridgeshire.
As a Liaison and Diversion Peer Support Worker, you will share your lived experience to support others, inspire hope, and promote recovery. You will facilitate information sharing to promote choice, opportunity and connection to local communities within a relationship of mutuality.

This is usually in police/courts/probation or a community venue but may occasionally be online/via phone depending on the peers needs.
* Work towards recovery‑focused goals within a time frame of up to 6-8 weeks, including supporting access to community groups and services to enable participation and promote social inclusion, with the aim of minimizing future contact with the criminal justice system.
* Manage your own diary and travel time to support seeing a minimum of 3 peers a day (approximately).
* Contribute to the wider care of peers by writing recovery‑focused notes on NHS systems and seeking regular feedback via service outcomes.
* Assist peers in creating a Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) or similar life plan.
* Support peers to overcome fears with empathy, trust and honesty, challenging negative self-talk and focusing on strengths.
