About the Role
We are looking for talented Software Engineers to join our growing team in Manchester. You'll be part of a high-performing engineering group, doubling in size to meet the demands of exciting modernisation projects. This is a hands-on role where you'll design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable applications while driving innovation in cloud and search technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Develop new features and resolve defects with a focus on quality and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality applications.
Share knowledge and mentor colleagues, fostering technical growth within the team.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver robust technical solutions.
Contribute to modernisation efforts, including:
Migrating from Elasticsearch to OpenSearch.
Moving capabilities to AWS cloud.
Leveraging AI and machine learning to enhance search capabilities.Essential Skills
AWS Solutions Architect Certification.
Strong experience with Linux, AWS, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Terraform, and DevOps practices.
Proficiency in Java and TypeScript/JavaScript.Desirable Skills
Experience with Go, Rust, or Python.
Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
