Overview

We are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Radiographer to undertake Mammographic Breast Imaging for both Screening and Symptomatic services across our two sites, Royal Derby Hospital (RDH) and Queens Hospital Burton (QHB).

We are a progressive forward thinking department with a positive approach to meeting and delivering the current NHS challenges. The Radiographic team provides symptomatic clinics and a screening service as part of the NBSS (National Breast Screening Service) covering Southern Derbyshire and South East Staffordshire. The department includes services at the Royal Derby Hospital, Queens Hospital Burton, screening at London Road Community Hospital as well as screening at satellite community sites across Southern Derbyshire and South East Staffordshire.

We are looking for a hard-working radiographer with a focus on patient care and high quality to join our team. You will be expected to take part in screening and symptomatic work and be prepared to go out to screening sites. You will be an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team and will display excellent interpersonal skills with a caring, patient-centred and flexible approach to work. A development role at a band 5 leading to band 6 upon qualifying will also be considered.

Due to the nature of the role there is an occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010 that this position is restricted to female applicants only.


Responsibilities

* Perform mammographic examinations for both the screening and symptomatic breast service.
* The role will involve working cross-site across all of our hospitals and mobile units.


Qualifications

* Applicants must have DCR or Degree in Radiography and be HCPC Registered. Experience working within the NHS is essential.
