Planner
Starting salary between £35790 and £43541per annum, plus essential user car allowance
Based at King’s Court Council Offices, King’s Lynn
If you are a fully qualified planner and looking for a fresh challenge, we have an opportunity for you to join our Development Management Team at the Borough Council of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk.
This role is not a training post, you must hold a degree in Town Planning with at least two years relevant work experience in Development Management/Planning Control and be eligible for full membership of the RTPI. With excellent communication and customer-care skillsyou will be enthusiastic about gaining wider experience in all aspect of urban, coastal and rural planning.
You will be responsible for the effective negotiation and resolution of planning applications, ultimately achieving high quality development which supports growth and regeneration whilst protecting the environment and conserves the historic character of West Norfolk. We need you to help shape our borough’s future, balancing the new growth planned for the area, with the preservation of the borough’s unique environment and heritage.
