JOB-20241107-af0545f3 Nurse Practitioner – Well Person Unit, Sexual Health Location: Gibraltar Salary: £45,821 – £53,878 per annum Contract: Full-Time Recruiter: Sanctuary Personnel We are seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner to join the Well Person Unit, Sexual Health in Gibraltar. This full-time role offers a competitive salary and the chance to work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team in a vibrant and scenic location. What You Will Do Deliver sexual healthcare to self-referred patients or referrals from GPs and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a positive and supportive experience. Work independently within legal and ethical frameworks, following guidance from the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH) and the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH). Build and maintain collaborative relationships with primary care, community groups, and stakeholders. Conduct health promotion activities to encourage risk reduction aligned with current sexual health strategies. Provide outreach services, offering advice, guidance, and education to local secondary schools and colleges. Manage individual patient consultations, assess needs, and implement evidence-based care programmes. Ensure compliance with policies and guidelines for health and safety, infection control, and medication handling. Mentor and support students during clinical taster placements. Requirements BSc Degree in Nursing. GUM qualification or STI course such as STIF. NMP qualification and DFSRH. Post-registration qualification in contraception. Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board (NRB). Advanced knowledge and skills in contraception and sexual health. Experience working in nurse-led clinics and competence in partner notification. Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and manage conflict.
