Location: BH21 area
Hours: 15 hours per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Setting: Split between home and local library (both within walking distance)
Student Profile :
– Diagnosis of ASD
– Spatial Processing Disorder (SPD) – a subtype of Auditory Processing Disorder, impacting ability to separate
– speech from background noise
– SEMH needs due to trauma
– Has not received tutoring since February (previous tutor resigned)
– Attends therapeutic farm placement Mondays and Fridays
– Creative and artistic – enjoys drawing and cooking
The key objective for this role is to build the student’s knowledge in Year 6 level curriculum and to develop their self-esteem and confidence, helping them to slowly integrate back into a school setting.
