You will work collaboratively with the Headteacher, fellow governors, and the Trust to drive continuous improvement and uphold the highest standards in education, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing. Formal meetings take place twice a term (6 times a year).**You will:**• Chair meetings and lead the governing body• Support and challenge school leadership to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils• Act as a key link between the school, parents, the community, and the wider Trust• Ensure compliance with statutory duties and Trust policies**What we are Looking For**We are seeking someone with:• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills• The ability to build consensus and make sound strategic decisions• Experience of governance, education, or leadership (not essential – full training provided)• A genuine commitment to improving children’s lives through excellent education• Be part of a thriving Multi Academy Trust with a shared mission to grow confident learners by leading, learning and excelling together• Receive training, development, and support from both the school and the Trust• Work alongside passionate, skilled professionals and make a visible difference in your communityBeing a Chair of Governors is a hugely rewarding role, providing the opportunity to make a real difference to young people and give back to your local community.
