Head Receptionist Hours per week on average.
We are an independent 15 bedroom hotel, wedding and event venue. The hotel over the past four years has established itself as one of the best venues in the area winning numerous accolades such as at the Staffordshire Hospitality Awards 2024 for Independant Hotel in the Midlands and highly commended Restaurant for the Midlands along with scooping the two biggest awards at the I do Wedding Awards 2025 along with retaining the Trip Advisors Travellers Choice Award as one of the top ten hotels in the country for consistency and attention to detail in it's all round service.
We are looking for someone ideally with hotel experience who has an outgoing personality, preferably hospitality experience and is committed to developing their career further. They must be multi skilled and pro active at all times with a great presence and customer service focus whilst maintaining a high visual image for the overall brand with the focus on the guest at all times and ensuring all areas of the front desk are inline with the companies high standards.
This role involves leading and running the Reception Desk which includes Reservations and many other key tasks.
Due to the nature of the role, this will involve both daytime and evening shifts, weekend and bank holiday shifts. Shifts are generally - but not exclusively 6:30am - 3pm and 2:30pm - 10:30pm.
Key roles : ( but not limited to)
Presenting a welcoming and friendly atmosphere
Checking guests into and out of the hotel
Taking reservations and flexing the room rates to ensure maximum sales potential
Cash handling and processing payments
Banking and Financial enquiries
Answering the telephone, emails and making restaurant/event/corporate bookings
Helping our weddings and events team during the booking / planning process and on the day
Assisting with bar and restaurant service as required
Maintaining and driving standards and service
Achieve excellent customer satisfaction
Working closely with our Operations Manager to ensure smooth and effective communication throughout the hotel and front and back of house.
