Water Hygiene Technical Manager - Hemel Hempstead
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Water Hygiene Manager to lead and develop our water hygiene operations. With an excellent industry reputation gained over twenty years, Orion leads the way in the delivery of building engineering and support services. Duties
* Lead and manage the Water Hygiene Engineering team and works to ensure the safe, reliable and compliant maintenance of all building services provided.
* Develop a customer‑focused engineering team through coaching and management.
* Prioritise workloads effectively to meet operational needs and customer expectations.
* Provide technical guidance and direction to the team and external contractors to maintain high standards.
* Ensure accurate recording and management of maintenance data for all assets.
* Work to ensure LCA standards are met across all sites.
* Carry out Competency Assessments for the WH Engineering team and assist in the training and development of the team.
* Work closely with the Director to optimise the performance of the engineering team.
* Complete quotations for maintenance work.
* Provide exceptional customer service and answer any client questions or relay these questions back to the office team contract administrator to follow up on.
Requirements

* Experience as a Water Hygiene Engineering Manager or similar role. At least 3 years in a relevant water hygiene role.
* Legionella Awareness Training, City & Guilds water industry certifications and other relevant qualifications.
* Good level of knowledge working with and using Excel and Word and CRM/ Quoting system.
* Positive attitude and work ethic.
* Detailed understanding of ACOP L8 & HSG 274 parts 1,2,3. (Essential)
* Ability to make recommendations from job reports and risk assessments with knowledge and experience in water hygiene and treatment.
* Experience in analytical service visits for closed systems and from lab results.
* Good presentation, planning and organisational skill, self‑motivated and able to work under their own initiative.
* Clean UK Driving License.
* Clean DBS Record.
* Salary £42,000 - £46,000 (depending on experience).
* 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday.
* 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays. Increasing by 1 day per year following 3 years of service.
