The post is for Consultant Psychiatrists in age-independent acute Liaison Psychiatry to cover the acute hospital. The post holder will lead liaison mental health services by working closely with the service manager and a multidisciplinary team comprising predominantly of nurses, specialty doctors, and psychologists. The post holder will join a peer group of Consultants providing comprehensive mental health services as part of Community Mental Health Teams in each locality.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled clinician who will lead the MDT and take a keen interest in teaching, training, and service development. The post is full-time, with a 10 PA Job Plan.
The salary range is as per NHS Agenda for Change pay structures, based on the number of years' experience directly within the NHS at the advertised pay band. Experience from other NHS Trusts is considered, but candidates without prior NHS experience are normally appointed at the lowest point unless they demonstrate equivalent experience, with potential for incremental increases.
