We are looking for a Java Developer with experience in related technologies like Spring, REST API technologies and techniques who is comfortable working alongside a strong, international team of engineers, to build applications for a key HSBC initiative. We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Lead Business Analyst. About the role: Business Analysis serves a critical purpose as a bridge between our customers / users and the HSBC Technology (HTI) engineering team that designs, develops, tests and deploys HSBC Payments systems. The Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the underlying needs of the business are unambiguously articulated and that project stakeholders reach a common detailed understanding of “what” will be delivered (generally agnostic of the detailed “how” it will be delivered). The BA is a key consultant (critical link) to our stakeholders and works closely with SMEs to elicit, capture, analyse, consolidate, and communicate business and functional requirements. The BA equally works closely with the development teams to formulate and recommend end-to-end software product solutions. In this role, you will: Collaborate with business SMEs and stakeholders to produce detailed user requirements that concisely and unambiguously describe the details of the business problem to be resolved in a consistent manner. Analyze product requirements from a broad, and end-to-end, perspective; identify impacts to new / existing business processes, other Group Solutions and other stakeholders / organizations (i.e. a cross-functional approach). This analysis includes coordinating specification of non-functional requirements (e.g. Deployment model, platform, operations, and infrastructure) from the stakeholders, the regional service centers, the development, and deployment groups. Work with product managers, solutions architects, and engineer leads to identify and fulfil functional documentation required to clearly and accurately express complex operations and end-to-end business requirements to the project. This includes mapping of business processes, and business use cases. Participate in post-implementation support of the pilot site deployment in order to understand the business experience and to feedback that experience to the product management team to improve the product.
