Our luxury care home in Portcanna, Cardiff offers exceptional nursing and residential care for 69 residents in an environment of refined comfort. As a key member of our care team, you will help us achieve an excellent standard of care and promote the values and ethos of our home.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily routines, from dressing to staying active, encouraging independence.
* Support each resident’s personalized care plan and provide hands‑on help and thoughtful attention.
* Monitor residents’ health and communicate concerns to the nurse or clinical deputy manager.
* Uphold dignity and respect, ensuring residents feel valued in every interaction.
* Encourage social interactions among residents and staff to create a warm environment.
* Work with housekeeping to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces and respond quickly to emergencies.
* Assist residents with eating and drinking to meet their nutritional needs.
* Bring joy and smiles to residents’ lives, ensuring their overall health and happiness are prioritized each day.
Qualifications & Requirements
* NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
* At least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, or a passion for care with transferable skills.
* Genuine interest in caring for the elderly and commitment to delivering excellent service.
* Integrity, respect, and a strong sense of teamwork.
