Senior Manufacturing / Process Engineer
Aerospace | Lean Manufacturing | Continuous Improvement
We are recruiting an experienced Manufacturing / Process Engineer to support asset optimisation and continuous improvement within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
This is a hands‑on role focused on improving manufacturing performance across quality, cost, delivery, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Optimise manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, cost, quality, and safety
* Drive continuous improvement using Lean tools (FMEA, SPC, VSM, SOPs)
* Identify and eliminate non-value-added activity across machining, assembly, and paint processes
* Analyse production data and performance metrics to identify inefficiencies
* Deliver multiple manufacturing engineering projects aligned to QCD targets
* Support and embed a lean manufacturing culture
* Work with suppliers to reduce tooling and process costs
* Maintain engineering standards and support cross-functional teams
* Present data-driven improvement proposals to management
Skills & Experience
* Experience in Manufacturing or Process Engineering within a similar manufacturing environment
* Degree, HNC, or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline
* Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Practical mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge
* Strong project delivery capability
* Competent with Microsoft Office applications
Desirable
* Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
* Aerospace manufacturing experience
* Knowledge of AS9100
* NEBOSH certification
