Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and a passion for creating high-quality cabinetry. This role involves the fabrication and assembly of cabinets, ensuring that each piece meets our high standards of craftsmanship and design. The Cabinet Maker will work closely with other tradespeople and contribute to various projects, showcasing their expertise in woodworking.
Duties
* Fabricate cabinets according to specifications, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
* Assemble cabinet components using various hand tools and power tools, adhering to safety protocols.
* Perform joinery techniques to create strong and durable connections between pieces.
* Collaborate with designers and clients to understand project requirements and make necessary adjustments.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
* Assist with heavy lifting during the installation process, ensuring all pieces are securely fitted.
* Engage in additional construction tasks as needed, including roofing, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, and construction painting.
Skills
* Proficient in fabrication techniques and assembly processes related to cabinetry.
* Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in woodworking.
* Experience in carpentry and joinery is essential for this role.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
* Familiarity with roofing, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
