About The Engine Room The Engine Room isnt just a restaurant - its a place to gather, share, and savour every bite. With its mix of industrial-inspired style, a shareable menu, and a laid-back but polished approach to service, were creating a spot where people want to come back again and again. Our menu is built for sharing, with small plates grilled meats and fish, and stone-baked pizzas. Drawing inspiration from Derbys engineering and rail history, The Engine Rooms design features exposed beams, brass accents, and mechanical details that evoke the spirit of innovation. Its bar will feature carefully curated selection of craft cocktails, fine wines, and local beers. The Role As Sous Chef, youll work closely with the Head Chef to lead the kitchen team, helping deliver consistently high-quality food while keeping things running smoothly day to day. This is a hands-on role in a new kitchen with a new team so we need someone who can hit the ground running so you'll need two or more years' experience in a similar position.
