Job Description Interior Boat Builder Overview We are currently seeking experienced Interior Boat Builders to join a busy marine engineering environment, working on high-quality vessels built for global use. This role is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship, particularly within interior fit-out. Working as part of a skilled team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing a range of interior components, ensuring all work meets high standards and project deadlines. Key Responsibilities Reading and interpreting technical drawings Fitting a variety of boat furniture Installation of ply bulkheads Fitting cabin sole bearers and cabin doors Cladding bulkheads with polished veneered ply Fitting various fibreglass components Carrying out basic upholstery and vinyl work Fitting sole boards Occasional painting tasks Requirements Relevant City & Guilds (C&G) qualification or equivalent Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience within the marine industry or similar carpentry/joinery background Experience working with timber and/or GRP vessels Strong attention to detail and high-quality finishing skills Ability to work to deadlines and as part of a team Rewards & Benefits Competitive hourly rates with overtime opportunities 22 days holiday plus bank holidays Option to purchase up to 3 additional days or sell up to 2 days Employer pension contributions Flexible shift patterns available Ongoing training and development opportunities Company sickness and accident insurance scheme Occupational sick pay (after qualifying period) Employee assistance programme Free on-site parking
