Optometrist - Sunderland (Full-Time) Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Optometrist to join a well-established independent group with four practices across the North East, including Sunderland, Durham, and Houghton. This is a full-time opportunity based primarily in the Sunderland practice, offering a supportive clinical environment with modern equipment and a strong emphasis on high-quality patient care.
The practice is equipped with two testing rooms and operates 30-minute testing times, allowing you to deliver thorough and professional eye examinations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to a high clinical standard
* Provide professional advice on eye care, vision correction, and optical products
* Utilise advanced equipment including OCT (Heidelberg Spectralis) and fully integrated Topcon systems
* Work collaboratively with Optical Assistants who carry out pre-screening
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the practice management system
* Ensure excellent patient experience and satisfaction at all times
* Support the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
* Team Development:
* Work alongside a supportive and experienced team of Optical Assistants
* Contribute to a positive team environment focused on patient care

* About You:
* Fully qualified and GOC-registered Optometrist
* Strong clinical knowledge with a patient-first approach
