We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join our friendly and committed team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to our Year 2 pupils, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally at this crucial stage of their education.
Job Title: Year 2 Teacher
Location: Barnoldswick
Salary: £120 - £140 per day (pay rate changes after 12 working weeks)
Contract Type: Full-time
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.
- Assess and track pupil progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes a love of learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (ideally Year 2)
- Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum, including preparation for end-of-key-stage assessments
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Creative, energetic, and committed to making learning fun and effective
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
