Manual Machinist – Permanent Role | Great Yarmouth | Up to £17/hr Hales Group is recruiting on behalf of our client in Great Yarmouth for a Manual Machinist to join their established engineering team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled machinist to work in a professional workshop environment, operating a range of manual machines and contributing to precision engineering projects. Key Responsibilities Operate manual machinery including Milling Machines, Centre Lathes, Surface Grinders, and Cylindrical Grinders Support Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) – training provided if needed Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings Use inspection tools to ensure precision and quality standards Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment Collaborate effectively with team members and uphold a professional approach Skills & Experience Proven experience in manual machining Strong understanding of engineering drawings and inspection equipment Familiarity with EDM is a plus (training available) Excellent awareness of health and safety practices Team-oriented with strong communication skills What’s on Offer Competitive hourly rate – up to £17/hour (depending on experience and overtime) 25 days paid holiday (pro rata) Company pension scheme Workwear and PPE provided Flexible part-time hours – 25 hours per week Location: Great Yarmouth Hours: Full-time (25 hours/week) Term: Permanent Pay: Up to £17/hour (DOE) If you're a skilled machinist looking for a flexible role in a friendly and professional setting, we’d love to hear from you.
