Role & Responsibilities
The Legal Officer will play a crucial role in safeguarding the company’s interests by managing all legal documentation, notices, and case-related matters. This includes drafting and issuing demand notices, legal notices, and replies on behalf of the company. The role involves filing legal cases, attending hearings, and managing payment recovery from defaulting customers through various legal channels such as MSME hearings, cheque‑bounce cases, and recovery notices. The position also demands preparation of replies, evidence, arguments, and agreements, as well as meticulous record‑keeping of all agreements, notices, summons, and court orders. The Legal Officer will also prepare and maintain MIS reports for both civil and criminal cases to ensure proper tracking and compliance.
Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should possess an LLB degree in any specialization, with proven experience in handling diverse legal matters. Strong expertise in legal documentation, drafting agreements, and managing litigation is essential. The candidate should be adept in corporate law, possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, and have the ability to maintain detailed records of all legal proceedings. A proactive approach to handling payment recovery and dispute resolution is preferred. Experience in coordinating with various legal authorities, coupled with strong organizational abilities, will be highly valued.
Key Skills Required
Applicants should have a solid grasp of legal notices, drafting agreements, and ensuring legal compliance. Skills in corporate law, legal management, and litigation handling are essential. Proficiency in legal documentation and drafting, combined with the ability to prepare well‑structured arguments and responses, will be highly beneficial. The candidate must be capable of independently managing legal operations, tracking case statuses, and preparing detailed MIS reports.
