Are you passionate about helping young people thrive?
We're looking for a caring, committed and enthusiastic Learning Coach to join our team and support the academic and personal development of our secondary-aged pupils. This is a child-centred role where you'll work closely with students—especially those with additional needs—to help them overcome challenges, build confidence, and unlock their full potential.
Whether you're supporting a pupil one-to-one, guiding a small group, or helping in the classroom, your work will make a real difference in their lives.
What You'll Be Doing
* Supporting pupils with their learning in a way that's tailored to their individual needs
* Helping students develop independence, resilience and a sense of achievement
* Working with pupils with SEND, EAL, and other additional needs
* Building strong, trusting relationships with young people and their families
* Encouraging positive behaviour and social development
* Being a consistent, caring presence in their school journey
What We Offer
* Continuous Professional Development: Access a wide range of training and development opportunities, including fully funded apprenticeships (such as the Level 3 or level 5 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship).
* Supportive Environment: Work as part of a dedicated team committed to inclusion, equality, and making a difference in our community.
* Excellent Benefits:
* 8 INSET days per year
* Family-friendly policies
* Generous employer pension contribution (LGPS 24%)
* Opportunities to participate in extra-curricular activities and school trips
What We're Looking For
* GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4 or above) or willingness to achieve Level 2 Functional Skills as part of an apprenticeship
* Good communication skills and the ability to use IT effectively
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
* A positive, patient, and approachable attitude
* Passion for making a difference to young people's lives
Previous experience supporting children or young people is desirable but not essential—we welcome applications from those looking to start or develop their career in education.
