We’re working with a respected, client-focused insurance broker seeking an experienced Commercial Claims Handler to join their growing team in the West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a broad portfolio of commercial claims and work in a hybrid capacity between Stourbridge and Birmingham offices. As a key member of the claims team, you’ll take ownership of claims from first notification through to settlement, applying both technical expertise and client care to ensure a smooth, compliant, and fair process. Competitive salary benefits Hybrid working - only 2 days in-office per week Join a collaborative and forward-thinking team Opportunity to make an impact and grow within a respected broker Ongoing support for professional development and qualifications What You’ll Be Doing: Manage a caseload of commercial claims, including property, liability, and professional indemnity Liaise with clients, brokers, insurers, and third-party service providers Register and track claims, coordinate with underwriters, and monitor progress Carry out investigations where needed and attend client site visits post-loss Advise clients on policy coverage and negotiate the best possible settlement terms Maintain up-to-date records using internal systems (Websure, ECF, etc.) Identify trends and provide input on claims strategy and risk mitigation Assist with reporting, MI, and performance data when required What We’re Looking For: 3 years’ experience in commercial insurance claims handling Solid knowledge of property, liability, and/or PI claims Experience gained within a brokerage is essential Strong negotiation and communication skills with a client-first mindset Working knowledge of claims systems such as Websure and ECF preferred Ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and work autonomously Proactive, detail-oriented, and professional under pressure Please note: Candidates without recent relevant UK Commercial Claims Insurance experience will NOT be considered for this role.
