Philippe Conticini is a renowned French pastry chef, celebrated for his innovative approach to patisserie and his ability to evoke emotion through his creations.Born on August 16, 1963, in Choisy-le-Roi, France, he began his culinary journey in 1980 under the guidance of Alain Dutournier at the double Michelin-starred restaurant Trou Gascon.He further honed his skills at prestigious establishments such as Maxim's Roissy and Jacques Chibois' double Michelin-starred Gray d'Albion.By 1986, Conticini co-owned and served as head pastry chef at La Table d'Anvers, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Paris, where he introduced techniques like sauce reduction and deglazing to pastry making
Responsibilities:
* Prepare a wide variety of pastries, and other baked goods
* Decorate pastries using different techniques, including icing, glazing, and piping
* Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed
* Ensure cleanliness and food safety in the pastry section
* Have a great team spirit to assist colleague when needed
* Stay current on trends in pastry and baking techniques
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar role
* Culinary degree or equivalent training in pastry arts
* Strong knowledge of ingredients, baking techniques, and food presentation
* Creativity and an eye for detail
* Excellent time player and organizational skills
* Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
* Team player with strong communication skills
