Grade 4b (£28,142–£28,598) Grade 5a (£29,064–£29,540)
x1 Permanent Full-Time - 37 Hours per week and x1 Part Time - 18.5 hours per week (Wednesday pm to Friday)
Blended working – Home & County Hall, Beverley.

We’re excited to offer two permanent Customer Advisor opportunities, 1 working full time, 37 hours per week and a second working part time at 18.5 hours per week. You’ll enjoy a blended working pattern with days at home and time spent in the office at County Hall, Beverley (currently two days every four weeks).

Successful candidates will be able to -
6. Provide advice and support to customers on council tax, council rents and benefit related enquiries.
7. Handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
8. Work as part of a busy, fast‑paced team meeting daily performance goals.
9. Use your excellent communication and organisational skills to deliver high-quality service.
10. Navigate complex legislation and procedures while maintaining a positive, helpful attitude.
11. Be motivated, enthusiastic, and customer‑focused approach.
12. Have strong keyboard and digital skills.
13. Demonstrate great interpersonal skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
14. Have experience in any of the following: - council tax, council rents, housing benefit/universal credit, council tax support and any other welfare benefits.
15. Experience in a busy telephone environment
Working Hours
To meet service needs, working hours alternate:
Monday–Thursday: 8:30–4:30 or 9:30–5:30
Friday: 8:30–4:00 or 9:00–4:30
16. If applying for the part time position this would be half a day on a Wednesday and a full day Thursday and Friday.
17. The days working at home and in the office are subject to change.
18. Part time staff would be expected to attend the training period on a full-time basis.
