Location: Covering South Wales including Cardiff, Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, Monmouthshire, Swansea, RCT, Vale of Glamorgan, Bridgend, Caerphilly, and Newport
Area: Cymru South
We are excited to welcome newly qualified social workers to join our fostering agency. This is an excellent opportunity to join Foster Care Associates. We seek a highly motivated and enthusiastic Newly Qualified Social Worker to join our friendly team to develop and promote fostering services in Cymru South. Our office is based in Bridgend, supporting a hybrid working model with flexibility for home working. A robust induction program will be provided.

Duties will include:
1. Supporting foster parents and their families to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
2. Monitoring foster parents' suitability and competence to ensure safe, nurturing, and learning environments.
3. Providing supervision and support in line with FCA standards.
4. Working collaboratively to identify needs within foster families and contributing to relevant meetings.
5. Ensuring compliance with documentation requirements.
6. Attending meetings and providing reports for care planning.
7. Promoting participation of children and young people in agency development and community access.
8. Participating in out-of-hours support on a rota basis.
9. Supporting referral processes and undertaking initial home visits and assessments.
You must have:
* Professional registration with Social Care Wales.
* Excellent report writing skills.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
* Willingness and ability to travel to visit foster families and children.
* Full driving license.
* Degree or equivalent in social work.
