About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to contribute to Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons while supporting the school’s wider musical programme.
Key responsibilities include:
* Teaching Music across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Planning and delivering engaging lessons covering performance, composition, and music theory
* Encouraging pupils to develop confidence in performing and creative expression
* Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
* Supporting school concerts, productions, and musical events
* Contributing to the development of the Music curriculum
* Encouraging pupil participation in extracurricular music activities such as ensembles or clubs
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
* Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
* Have strong subject knowledge in music performance and theory
* Be confident teaching practical and theoretical music lessons
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
* Be passionate about music education and inspiring young musicians
