We are seeking to appoint an experienced, confident and hardworking 1-1 Teaching Assistant to work alongside our Key Stage 2 team supporting a child in Year 3 for 22½ hours per week. The hours will be 11am -3.30pm, Monday to Friday however these times are flexible for the right candidate This is a temporary position supporting a child in a Year 3 for the duration of their time at All Saints. You will work alongside and support the class teacher making effective use of resources to achieve the highest standards of learning and achievement for the pupil. Experience of working with children with SEMH needs and low engagement in learning would be an advantage. Responsibilities include: supporting the pupil’s learning in class and on a one to one basis delivering planned interventions facilitating the pupil’s learning to encourage independence implementing the school’s behaviour policy to support the pupil providing detailed and regular feedback to teachers on the pupil’s progress and achievement helping to make appropriate resources to support the pupi l establishing supportive relationships with the pupil concerned and their parents/carers supporting pupil to self-regulate engage child in short, targeted learning tasks In return, we can offer you the support of excellent teaching staff, continuous training and development opportunities, the chance to network and develop links with colleagues within the SUAT Academy and a SENCO who will support and guide you.
